A fire at Scanpole’s Kirkenær factory in Norway was contained quickly

Last night, at 23:24 hrs, a fire broke out at Scapole AS factory in Kirkenær. Fortunately, there were no casualties, and the fire did not spread to the nearby production facilities or timber storages.

The fire crew contained the fire quickly. The fire had started in an old fabrication hall and destroyed the building. The supply of power and compressed air at the current production facility was damaged and we estimate this may delay our deliveries for the next two weeks.

Scanpole AS Kirkenær factory is specialized in timber impregnation and production of machine round fenceposts. Scanpole AS is part of the Iivari Mononen Group. The factory in Kirkenær employs 30 people.
